Started in the early 1990's, Controls, Inc. (CI) has been a pioneer in microprocessor-based digital control products for engines, generators and other equipment. Led by John Cowen, the company initially introduced the GenMaster^TM generator control product. Utilizing the power of the microprocessor and the flexibility of the digital display, the GenMaster product provides sophisticated monitoring, protection and control at a cost effective price.

Over the years, the CI has diversified and expanded into other off-highway engine and equipment control products. This includes the EngineMaster^TM product line and more recent the KickStart^TM product line. The company continues to build on its core competencies in microprocessor control to create new products and meet the control needs of customers across a broad range of industrial applications. Product platforms have been developed to provide flexibility for customers to implement control solutions specific to their application requirements.

In the last five years, CI has made significant investments in personnel, product development, facilities and systems to meet the high expectations of our customers. The focus of this effort has been to provide customers with the products they need for their specific application.
