RECENT ANNOUNCEMENTS New Control Panel with Gauges Introduced for J1939 Engines November 2009 - Controls, Inc. introduces new control panel for J1939 engines that includes gauges. The C3-4500 control panel combines the Controls, Inc. uCAN series engine control module with J1939 gauges, a key switch and single connector. Manual and auto start available. See C3-4500 Product Announcement for details. uCAN & iMECH Series Available with Auto Start June 2009 - Both the uCAN and iMECH products are available with auto start for applications requiring unattended operation utilizing a simple switched input contact closure. Auto start is designated by adding an "AS" suffix to the end of the part number (Example: C3-2500-AS) uCAN Name Change May 2009 - In January 2009, Controls, Inc. introduced it's new iCAN standard engine control/display module for J1939 engines. The iCAN name has been replaced with uCAN to prevent any confusion with other products in the market. Timer Control Series Released April 2009 - The Timer Control series is released consisting of the following products: 1) Timer Module - Module provide start and stop signal based on selections. 2) Timer & Engine Module - Module starts, stops and monitors engine based on selections. 3) Fuel Circulation Module - Module starts, stops and monitors fuel circulation based on selections. iMECH Series Released April 2009 - The iMECH series module for mechanical engines is released extending the company's product range for all engines to the most basic, mainstream applications. As with the uCAN series for J1939 engines, the iMECH is a robust, yet economical module for mechanical engines with a large display, engine safety shutdowns and a fault event log. Can be provided as a module or as a complete panel with key switch, metal mount and harness. Integrated Engine/Temperature Control Introduced March 2009 - Integrated Engine/Temperature control unit introduced. Select the engine start temperature, engine stop temperature and operating speed. Controller is provided with Controls, Inc. designed temperature sender specific to the accuracies required for the temperature zone around 32 degrees F. Controller monitors temperature and starts and stops engine at the selected settings. On engine start, there is a selected warm up engine speed and warm up period. After the warm up period, the engine speed is increased to the selected operating speed. Prior to engine shutdown there is a selected cool down speed and cool down period. uCAN Series Featured in Diesel Progress Magazine March 2009 - The uCAN series engine controller for J1939 engines is featured in the March 2009 issue of Diesel Progress Magazine. Can be provided as a module or as a complete panel with key switch, metal mount and harness. EngineMaster Featured in Diesel Progress Magazine December 2008 -The EngineMaster series features showing a pump application with the ability to monitor floats, level transducer or pressure transducer via auto sensing. The controller starts and stops the pump and adjusts engine speed to maintain the required level or pressure.
